Principles of good nutrition
Include nutrient dense foods in your diet and ensure that you cover essential macronutrients (carbs, protein and fats) as well as micronutrients (vitamins and minerals)

Eat organic and close to nature
A plant based diet is rich in antioxidants, and phytochemicals which aid in the reduction of inflammation and chronic disease. Limit exposure to ultra-processed foods.

Water
Water is essential for digestion, nutrient transport and temperature regulation. Min 6 glasses and 8 to keep really hydrated!

Live a balanced life
Avoid extremes. Aim for balance and portion control. Get some sun! Vitamin D promotes healthy aging. Nutrients like Omega-3 and antioxidants are linked to better mood and cognitive function.

Don't sweat the small stuff
Meditation calms the sympathetic nervous system, lowering heart rate, blood pressure and cortisol levels. Regular exercise or even walks can reduce symptoms of depression. Studies show that it’s as effective as antidepressants. Deep relaxation and inward focus enhances self awareness and creative thinking and overall health and wellbeing.

Digestion and Nutrient absorption is significantly enhanced when the gut is working well. Nutrients that are essential for energy, growth and repair. About 70% of your immune cells are located in the gut. A healthy microbiome helps defend against pathogens and regulates immune responses. The gut also produces 95% of serotonin, a key mood-regulating neurotransmitter. The gut-brain connection influences stress, anxiety and even depression. A balanced gut reduces systemic inflammation, which is linked to chronic diseases like diabetes, heart disease and autoimmune conditions. Gut bacteria helps regulate hormones that affect metabolism, appetite and sleep.
